NEWS AND UPDATES:
*** Spring Scheduling:
Counselors recently visited 9-11th grade classrooms to share information regarding scheduling for Fall 2012. Be sure to ask your student about their plans for next year! We reviewed graduation requirements, college admission requirements, and all students received a copy of their transcript and a planning worksheet to review their personal status.
During the week of March 5th, counselors will again visit current 9-11th grade classes and take them to the computer lab to select courses for 2012-2013. We will be using Naviance, an online tool, to select classes for next year. Students are encouraged to come prepared with their course selections as well as alternates for their electives in the event that their first choice is not able to fit their schedule. Students will have until March 23rd to edit their course selections. After this date, course selections close so that counselors and administrators can build our schedule for the upcoming year.
Your students will receive a copy of their course selections in May and a final schedule for Fall, 2012 during Dons Derby in August, 2012.
