Principal's Message

Welcome to Santa Barbara High School.  Home of the Dons!

I welcome you to the "Home of the Dons" and it is truly an honor to be able to serve as the principal of Santa Barbara High School.  There is no doubt that Santa Barbara High School, a California Historical Landmark, has a rich history and tradition and to be a part of it is very exciting. Santa Barbara High School has served this community for more than 130 years.  As a Don it is important to become actively involved not only in our own school, but also to give back to the community in which we live. Our graduates have been, and continue to be, a tremendous asset to the greater Santa Barbara community. Not to mention the fact that as alumni they continue to support the Santa Barbara High School programs far beyond their high school years.

As principal of Santa Barbara High School I am committed to providing an excellent education and a first class educational experience to our students and their families. My goal is to provide support, guidance, and strong leadership for our more than two hundred staff members and over 2200 students. I will do this while always maintaining a vision of "excellence" for our school program. It is critical that we commit to providing a vibrant and safe environment that is supportive of our students’ personal, social, and academic development. We also must commit to providing a variety of challenging educational experiences in the classroom, through clubs, sports, art, music, and performing arts activities.  Students are expected to attend school every day, perform to the best of their ability, and engage in a variety of activities during their high school years so that they are well-prepared for what lies beyond their high school years. In this way, our students  can truly experience what it means to be a Don.

Please feel free to contact me directly should you have any questions or concerns.

Go Dons!
